"Assassin's Creed" is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released for the Xbox 360 in November 2007.
The game follows the story of Desmond Miles, a modern-day bartender who is kidnapped by a secret organization known as Abstergo Industries. Desmond is forced to use a machine called the Animus, which allows him to relive the memories of his ancestor, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad, a member of the Assassin Brotherhood during the time of the Third Crusade.
In the game, players primarily control Altair as he navigates the cities of Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus, carrying out various assassination missions and uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the stability of the region. The gameplay combines elements of stealth, parkour, and combat, giving players the freedom to approach objectives in different ways.
"Assassin's Creed" received praise from critics and players for its immersive open-world environments, engaging story, and innovative gameplay mechanics. It was the first entry in a long-running series that has since become one of the most successful and iconic franchises in the gaming industry.
