"Battlefield: Bad Company" is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for the Xbox 360 in June 2008. The game features a single-player campaign mode as well as a multiplayer mode.
In the single-player campaign, players take on the role of Preston Marlowe, a soldier in the fictional "Bad Company" unit of the United States Army. The game is known for its humor and more light-hearted tone compared to other military shooters, as well as its destructible environments, which allow players to level buildings and create new paths through the terrain.
The multiplayer mode features various game types such as Conquest and Gold Rush, where players must either capture control points or defend or destroy crates of gold, respectively. Players can choose from different classes with unique abilities and weapons, and the game also features vehicular combat with tanks, helicopters, and other vehicles.
"Battlefield: Bad Company" was generally well-received by critics and players alike for its engaging gameplay, destructible environments, and humor. It spawned a sequel, "Battlefield: Bad Company 2," which was released in 2010.
