"Homefront" is a first-person shooter video game developed by Kaos Studios and published by THQ. It was released for the PlayStation 3 in March 2011.
The game is set in an alternate timeline where North Korea, under the leadership of Kim Jong-un's son Kim Jong-il, invades and occupies the United States. Players take on the role of a resistance fighter named Robert Jacobs as he joins the American resistance movement to fight against the oppressive Korean People's Army (KPA).
"Homefront" features a single-player campaign that follows Jacobs and his fellow resistance fighters as they engage in guerrilla warfare against the KPA across various locations in the United States. The game also includes a multiplayer mode where players can compete in team-based matches across different maps, utilizing various weapons and vehicles.
While "Homefront" received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its premise and atmosphere but criticism for its short campaign and lack of innovation in gameplay, it still garnered a dedicated fanbase. It spawned a sequel, "Homefront: The Revolution," which was released in 2016.
