We're not just a retro game shop.

We’re a time machine. A clubhouse. A digital rebellion.
And we’re building something legendary.

If you've ever taken apart a handheld just to see how it works, stayed up soldering wires until your room smelled like flux, or felt genuine joy when a once-dead console booted up—you might be the one we're looking for.

Who We Hire

We’re looking for people who:

  • We want hands-on problem solvers who:

  • Love video games—but love fixing broken ones even more

  • Know their way around screwdrivers, soldering irons, multimeters, and compressed air

  • Can mod a Game Boy, swap a joystick, or clean a corroded battery terminal without flinching

  • Communicate with customers like real humans (not robots)

  • Are organized, focused, and wired to troubleshoot

Roles We’re Hiring For:

🛠️ Repair-Focused Store Tech (Brampton & Etobicoke Location)

You’ll be our in-store fixer—bringing consoles and handhelds back to life, keeping things running behind the scenes, and helping customers feel like they’re walking into a techie’s dream shop.

Daily tasks include:

  • Diagnosing hardware issues with retro consoles and handhelds (GameCube, SNES, PS2, etc.)

  • Performing light-to-moderate repairs: soldering, contact cleaning, replacing joysticks/buttons, basic board fixes

  • Testing trade-ins to ensure they're functional

  • Logging repairs and keeping a clean, organized workstation

  • Helping customers, packing online orders, restocking, and occasionally jumping on cash if needed

Ready to Join the Hoard?

To apply, record a short Loom video (1–2 min) showing us:

  • A console, handheld, or controller you’ve repaired

  • What the issue was and how you fixed it

  • Your repair setup or tools (even if it’s just your favorite screwdriver)

  • And why you want to work at Game Hoard

This isn’t about flashy editing or perfect lighting—it’s about showing us you actually enjoy fixing things.

Then send your Loom video and resume (or anything that shows your experience) to:
📧 sales@gamehoard.com

Applications without a Loom video will not be considered.

We want makers. Fixers. People who come alive when they’re solving tech problems.

Bonus points if:

  • You’ve ever revived a console that had no business turning back on
  • You’ve modded a handheld or replaced a screen
  • You live near our store locations in Brampton (148 Queen St E #5, Brampton, ON L6V 1B2) or Etobicoke (4909 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1B2)

Game Hoard is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
