"Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" is a visual novel adventure game developed and published by Spike Chunsoft. It was originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2010 in Japan, and later localized for release in North America and Europe in 2014.

In "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc," players take on the role of Makoto Naegi, a student who finds himself trapped inside the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy, along with a group of other high school students. The school is controlled by a sadistic robotic bear named Monokuma, who forces the students to participate in a deadly game.

The gameplay is divided into two main sections: Daily Life and Deadly Life. During Daily Life segments, players interact with other characters, explore the school, and gather information to uncover the truth behind the mysteries surrounding Hope's Peak Academy. These segments often involve visual novel-style dialogue sequences and investigation mechanics.

Deadly Life segments occur when a murder takes place within the school. Players must investigate the crime scene, gather evidence, and interview witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the murder. Once enough evidence has been collected, a Class Trial is held where players must use their deductive skills to identify the culprit and vote for who they believe is guilty.

The Class Trials feature a variety of minigames and gameplay mechanics, including nonstop debates where players must shoot down contradictions in witness testimonies, and rhythm-based games where players must counter arguments with evidence.

"Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc" received critical acclaim for its engaging storyline, memorable characters, and unique gameplay mechanics. It spawned a successful franchise, including sequels, spin-offs, and anime adaptations, making it a beloved title among fans of visual novels and mystery games.
