Dragon Quest I & II is a compilation of two classic role-playing games developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was released in Japan in 1993 and later made available in North America as Dragon Warrior I & II.

The compilation includes remakes of the first two games in the Dragon Quest series, which were originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the 1980s. Dragon Quest, also known as Dragon Warrior, is a highly influential RPG franchise created by Yuji Horii, with character designs by Akira Toriyama and music composed by Koichi Sugiyama.

Dragon Quest I & II allows players to experience both games in one package. Dragon Quest I, originally released in 1986, follows the journey of a hero tasked with defeating the Dragonlord and rescuing a kidnapped princess. It features turn-based combat, exploration of a fantasy world, and the gathering of companions to aid in the hero's quest.

Dragon Quest II, released in 1987, takes place 100 years after the events of the first game. Players control a descendant of the original hero who must confront an evil wizard threatening the land. The gameplay builds upon the foundation of the first game, expanding the world, introducing new characters, and offering a more extensive storyline.

The SNES remakes of Dragon Quest I & II feature enhanced graphics, improved sound quality, and updated gameplay mechanics compared to their NES counterparts. The games retain their classic RPG elements, including turn-based battles, character progression, exploration of towns and dungeons, and interactions with non-player characters.

Dragon Quest I & II received positive reviews for its faithful adaptations of the original games, charming retro aesthetics, and immersive gameplay. It provided an opportunity for both newcomers and fans of the series to experience the beginnings of the Dragon Quest franchise on the SNES platform.
