"Evolution: The World of Sacred Device" is an action role-playing video game developed by Sting and published by Ubisoft for the Sega Dreamcast. It was originally released in Japan in 1999 and in North America in 2000.

The game is set in the world of "Evolutia," a place where adventurers known as "Cyframes" explore dungeons in search of valuable artifacts. Players assume the role of Mag Launcher, a young Cyframe excavator, who, along with his companions, embarks on a journey to uncover the secrets of an ancient civilization and its mysterious devices.

"Evolution" combines traditional turn-based RPG gameplay with dungeon exploration elements. Players traverse various dungeons, battling monsters and collecting items while uncovering the game's storyline. The game also features a unique pet system where players can capture and train creatures called "CyPals" to assist in battles.

The Dreamcast version of "Evolution: The World of Sacred Device" received generally positive reviews for its engaging gameplay, colorful graphics, and intriguing storyline. It was followed by several sequels and spin-offs in the "Evolution" series, including "Evolution 2: Far Off Promise" and "Evolution: Eternal Dungeons."
